Sefer Braishit

In Chumash, we have just completed parashat Lech Lecha.  Avraham sure has come a long way from his days as Avram in Haran.  The students have successfully written performance assessments as they creatively showed off their knowledge of Avraham's circumstances.  We are now beginning Parashat Vayera as Avraham continues along on his journey of building a nation. 

In celebration of Yom Yerushalayim, we studied about Jerusalem during the siege of the War of Independence and read many stories about Jerusalem over the years.  Then, each child made a beautiful, framed scene of Jerusalem that they can display at home as a mizrach.
